[07-25-2022] San Diego County, CA - Pedestrian Teenager Suffers Non-Life-Threatening Injuries After Being Hit by Vehicle in Otay MesaAccording to the authorities, a pedestrian teenager was struck and injured by a car while running across an intersection in the Otay Mesa West neighborhood on Monday, July 25, 2022.

According to San Diego police Officer John Buttle, the collision occurred around 8:01 a.m. in the 800 block of Picador Boulevard.

The 17-year-old boy was crossing west to east when he ran in front of a 2012 Hyundai Elantra traveling southbound in the first lane, according to police.

The teen’s injuries are considered non-life-threatening, suffering a fractured left femur and a 6-inch laceration to the left hip.

San Diego police were investigating the collision.
