One woman was injured after a solo motorcycle crash caused by an alleged DUI driver in Napa on Tuesday afternoon, July 25, 2023.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident on Napa-Vallejo Highway, south of Streblow Drive, around 4:03 p.m.
During an unsafe passing maneuver on the right shoulder of the southbound lanes, the 2020 Harley-Davidson Road Glide lost control, hit the dirt shoulder, and overturned into the traffic lanes.
The American Medical Response ambulance transported the passenger after sustaining significant injuries, identified as 31-year-old Esmerelda O., of Union City, to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center.
While the driver sustained minor injuries, the CHP officers arrested and booked 35-year-old Jose F. into the Napa County jail under suspicion of causing injury through drunk driving.
