Three people were in critical condition following a two-vehicle DUI crash in Indio on Thursday evening, July 27, 2023.
According to the Indio Police Department, the collision happened around 9:05 p.m. between Avenue 48 and Calhoun Street.
A Toyota pick-up truck driver struck a silver Honda occupied by three people who were all ejected from the vehicle.
The three occupants of the Honda were all transported to a local hospital in critical condition. They are currently in a serious but stable condition.
The Toyota driver was taken to a hospital and arrested on a possible DUI charge. The driver’s identity remains undisclosed.
