[07-27-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – Two People Injured After Head-On Two-Vehicle Collision in Twentynine Palms

Two people were injured after a head-on two-vehicle collision in Twentynine Palms on Thursday morning, July 27, 2023.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and  San Bernardino County Fire Protection District responded to the accident at Utah Trail on Sunset Drive in Twentynine Palms around 8:30 a.m.

A Ford Focus, traveling north on Utah Trail, collided head-on with a gray Subaru Ascent driving southbound. Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center.

The driver of the Ford was identified as a 32-year-old female, while the driver of the Subaru was identified as a 42-year-old male. They were both residents of Twentynine Palms.

The collision is not believed to have been caused by drugs or alcohol. As part of the investigation, northbound and southbound Utah Trail were closed between Sunset Drive and Baseline Road for approximately 30 minutes.
