[07-29-2022] San Diego County, CA - A 26-Year-Old Woman is Killed Leaving Two Others Injured in a Single-Vehicle Crash on Orange Avenue [Update]Update: The woman who was killed in an early morning crash was already identified by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The victim was identified as Sarai O., 26, of Anaheim. She was sitting in the rear passenger seat of a vehicle that crashed around 12:30 a.m. on July 29, 2022 near the 1100 block of Orange Avenue.

The driver lost control while driving southbound, causing the car to slide sideways and crash into a light pole, the Medical Examiner’s Office said.

After hitting the light pole, the car kept flipping before stopping. The Medical Examiner’s Office said paramedics confirmed Olvera’s death at the scene.

The driver and another passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries, a city spokeswoman said.
Erwin M. was charged with gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI causing bodily injury. Alcohol and speed may have contributed to this crash, police say.

A 25-year-old woman died after a single-vehicle collision on Orange Avenue Friday morning.
The accident happened at around 12:30 a.m. on 1100 block Orange Avenue.

According to the authorities, the 25-year-old woman died in a car accident caused by DUI driving close to the Hotel Del Coronado.

A white sedan is identified as the vehicle involved. The patrol officers discovered the woman in the back seat was seriously injured.

The woman, whose identity was withheld by next of kin, passed away on the scene.

Meanwhile, the 20-year-old woman in the front seat passenger and the 20-year-old man driver took to a hospital with minor injuries. Identities remain unknown.

According to police, investigators suspect that speeding and intoxication may have contributed to the fatal collision.
