[07-31-2022] Riverside County, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident Results in Unidentified Man’s Death on 215 Freeway

An unidentified man was struck and killed while crossing after a pedestrian accident on 215 Freeway in Riverside on Sunday morning, July 31, 2022.

According to CHP, the accident happened right before 2:30 a.m. in the north of Blain’s Street.

The man was walking barefoot in the same direction as the traffic flow when he had struck by the vehicle.

Unfortunately, the man was declared dead on the scene.

According to reports, the vehicle involved was a silver Mercedez-Benz.

The driver remained at the scene to assist the authorities.

Because of this, CHP officers issued a Sigalert for the region at about 2:55 a.m., closing all southbound lanes for several hours.

Why the man was strolling alongside the freeway was unknown.
