According to the authorities, a car chase suspect killed another driver traveling north that pulled onto the shoulder and stopped on the side of the road in the area of Highway 65 Sunday, July 31, 2022.
The crash occurred around 3:10 a.m. south of Highway 65 toward Terra Bella in Porterville.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the driver, identified as Samuel H. 33, was driving erratically on the wrong side of the road and attempting to push other vehicles off the highway.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the driver tried to hit oncoming deputies and run over one who was using a spike strip. The motorist carried down Highway 65 in the direction of Terra Bella.
According to the press release, the suspect allegedly turned his car toward the parked car and rammed it after that.
The collision caused the driver of the parked car to pass away. Their identity is still a secret.
