[07-31-2025] San Bernardino County, CA โ€“ One Woman Killed, Another Injured in Dog Attack Near Perris Hill Park

A woman was killed and another injured in a dog attack in San Bernardino on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

According to the San Bernardino Police Department, officers responded to reports of a woman being attacked by two dogs near Pacific Street and Perris Hill Park Road.

Upon arrival, an officer located a woman who reported she had been bitten. While assisting the first victim, two dogs charged from a nearby brush. The officer fired his weapon, killing one of the dogs.

A second woman was found approximately 30 yards away suffering from severe injuries consistent with a dog mauling. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

San Bernardino Animal Control responded to the scene and removed multiple dogs as part of the ongoing investigation.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
