Los Angeles Police Department’s pursuit of a car ended in a collision involving another vehicle and a fire hydrant, causing gallons of water to go skyward in the Hollywood neighborhood on Tuesday night, August 02, 2022.

The accident happened at around 10:50 p.m. near the junction of Sunset Boulevard and Van Ness.

The suspect left the scene on foot following the crash but was apprehended by cops.

The Los Angeles Fire Department successfully shut the hydrant down. It is unknown if anyone was injured.

No further information was released.
