The victim was named Robert B., 67, and was killed after a motor vehicle collision on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway on Wednesday morning.
The accident happened around 3:58 a.m. on the eastbound Santa Monica Freeway, west of La Brea Avenue.
According to the CHP, a vehicle struck and killed Brown.
The authorities declared Brown dead on the scene.
The investigation is looking into more details about the victim.
No further details about the vehicle were involved.
The CHP blocked off four lanes of the 10 Freeway while they conducted the investigation.
