[08-04-2023] Mendocino County, CA – At Least 1 Person Injured Following Three-Vehicle Head-On Collision on Highway 20

At least one person was injured after a three-vehicle head-on collision east of Lake Mendocino in Mendocino County on Friday evening, August 4, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Highway 20, east of Lake Mendocino, at around 6:30 p.m.

CHP said the incident involved a Sprinter van, a Winnebago 2-axle RV, and a black Honda sedan. It is unclear what caused the collision, pending an investigation.

All the occupants were able to evacuate their vehicles, and thankfully, only minor injuries were sustained. However, an ambulance was requested at the scene.

No information was released regarding the identities of the people involved or how many they were.
