According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a multi-vehicle crash sent several people to the hospital on Lake Hughes Road Sunday, August 7, 2022.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the crash occurred around 12:20 p.m. near Lake Hughes Road in Castaic, northbound on the 5 Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol reported that there were at least four vehicles involved.
Although at least two ambulances were called, it’s unclear how many patients were actually taken to the hospital.
As crews worked to clear the multi-vehicle collision, all northbound lanes north of Lake Hughes Road were briefly blocked, according to authorities.
Investigations into the crash’s cause are ongoing.
