[08-08-2022] Kern County, CA – Two People Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Bakersfield

Two people were killed in a fatal two-vehicle accident in Bakersfield on Monday, August 8, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Monday just before 2:00 a.m. on Highway 155 and Melcher Road.

The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the two victims of a two-vehicle collision as Ray S., 33, and Fancy C., 30.

According to the authorities, Segura was the Kia driver, and Castro was its passenger.

The crash happened when the Dodge’s driver failed to stop at a stop sign on Melcher Road, colliding head-on with the Kia.

According to the authorities, three victims from the Dodge were taken to Kern Medical with moderate to severe injuries.

According to the coroner’s office, Segura and Castro will undergo a post-mortem examination.
