[08-08-2022] Los Angeles County, CA - Unidentified Pedestrian Man Fatally Struck In ComptonAccording to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed on the Gardena (91) Freeway in Compton Monday morning, August 8, 2022.

According to Officer Stephen Brandt, the deadly colllision transpired at 12:16 a.m. on the westbound Gardena Freeway at Central Avenue.

Brandt reported that a medical examiner determined the person to be deceased at the scene.

It appeared that the person who had passed away was a male. It was unclear whether he got out of a vehicle or walked onto the freeway; this information was not immediately available.

The investigators are still trying to determine what caused the crash.
