Both a 50-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man suffered from moderate to severe injuries following a vehicle collision on Lakeville Highway Monday morning.
The collision happened around 6 a.m. east on the highway between Frates Road and Browns Lane.
A 50-year-old woman was operating the white Toyota Rav 4 when the accident occurred.
The involved vehicle was a white Chevrolet Spark driven by a 35-year-old man.
According to the police, the man illegally attempted to pass the woman’s car in front of him. The driver struck a vehicle on the highway moving the other way after crossing the double yellow lines.
Local authorities took both drivers to the hospital for treatment.
