[08-08-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – 1 Person Killed, Multiple Others Injured After Multi-Vehicle Collision in Fontana

One person was killed, and multiple others were injured following a multi-vehicle collision in Fontana on Tuesday morning, August 8, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on the westbound 10 Freeway at Sierra Avenue shortly after 3:00 a.m.

CHP officers from the Rancho Cucamonga office and the San Bernardino County Fire Department were at the scene but could not determine the cause of the crash, pending an investigation.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while multiple other victims were taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
