[08-08-2023] San Diego County, CA – Tree Trimmer Injured After Being Impaled by Fence in El Cajon

A tree trimmer was injured after being impaled by a fence in El Cajon on Tuesday morning, August 8, 2023.

The Lakeside Fire Protection District responded to the accident near a mobile home park on Highway 8 Business around 7:20 a.m.

The tree trimmer was standing on a six-foot ladder when he lost his balance. The individual was impaled on a fence following his fall from the ladder. The fence pierced his left arm but did not completely pass through.

The patient was transported to Sharp Memorial for treatment, and his condition became stable. He was described as a 50-year-old Hispanic man.

There was no further information about the accident.
