[08-09-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – Three People Severely Injured in a Multi-Vehicle Crash in the Valencia Industrial Center

According to first responders, three people were in critical condition following a multi-vehicle crash in the Valencia Industrial Center on Tuesday, August 09. 2022.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman, Craig Little, it was a head-on traffic collision with two work trucks and two other vehicles and entrapment.

According to witnesses, the accident involved four vehicles: an AT&T service truck with one driver, a Faucetman Plumbing Company service truck with two occupants, a silver four-door sedan with two occupants, and a silver Honda Civic with one occupant.

The driver of the Faucetman Plumbing truck was briefly trapped but was eventually rescued with only minor injuries. On the other hand, the passenger appeared semi-conscious and had facial injuries.

According to John Chavez, the owner of the Honda, the driver of the Faucetman Plumbing truck sped through a red light and collided with the AT&T truck. Chavez worked just around the corner and was on his way home when the accident occurred.

“He ran the red light, and the AT&T truck was pulling into the intersection to make a left, and he just came barreling through,” Chavez explained. “I see him coming, and he’s not even slowing down, so I smacked him hard.”

Chavez estimated the driver was traveling at around 50 miles per hour at the time of impact.

The accident is to be further investigated.
