[08-09-2022] Orange County, CA - Bicyclist Killed in DUI Fatal Crash In Huntington BeachAccording to the Huntington Beach Police Department, a 70-year-old woman was accused of killing a bicyclist while driving a car under the influence in Huntington Beach Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

The crash occurred at around 6:00 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway, north of Admiralty Drive, where they learned a black SUV had struck a bicycle.

The authorities had stated that the SUV was traveling southbound on the highway when it collided with the bicyclist traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Pacific Coast Highway.

According to the authorities, the injured cyclist passed away despite being taken to a nearby hospital after the incident.

Authorities were able to determine that the person behind the wheel of the SUV was a resident of Huntington Beach named Barbara Front. The front remained at the scene after the crash and was subsequently taken into custody.

The Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team from the department is currently looking into the crash as part of their ongoing investigation into the collision.
