Multi-Car Accident Statistics

A multiple-car crash occurs when two or more vehicles collide. Passengers may be jerked forward and backward, thrown around, or smashed into objects. Broken bones, whiplash, deep lacerations, internal harm, and organ trauma are all common injuries resulting from such disasters. Many of these problems can become difficult to treat if the source of the damage is not initially or completely identified.

More than 10,000 people have been killed in multi-vehicle accidents since 2014. More than 7,000 of the total fatalities annually can be attributed to the drivers involved in these collisions. It is clear from the numbers how dangerous it is for drivers when an accident involving multiple cars takes place on the roads and highways.

According to data compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, multiple-vehicle crashes account for nearly two million per year. Injuries and fatalities are more likely to occur as collisions involving cars, trucks, and other vehicles increase.

These accidents are caused by various factors, including low visibility during specific driving conditions affecting vehicle operators. Roadways have become congested due to high traffic volumes, poor road conditions, and similar factors.

Riverside County Multi-Vehicle Crash Lawyers

Multiple-car collisions frequently occur when high-speed areas are available on highways and roads. With congested traffic, it is difficult for many people to recognize when to avoid a potential collision or objects on the road. These collisions may become more common if the weather becomes a factor. The larger the city in which a person drives, the more likely the driver will encounter or witness one of these serious concerns.

When determining who is at fault in multi-car accident cases, an in-depth investigation is usually the way to go. Many factors are considered, including weather, road conditions, and driver distractions. It is critical to seek experienced legal counsel in these incidents to protect the driver’s rights and, if possible, seek compensation for the situation.
