[08-09-2023] 4 People, Including Deputy Injured Following Two-Vehicle Collision in CerritosFour people, including a deputy, were injured after a two-vehicle collision in Cerritos on Wednesday morning, August 9, 2023.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the incident took place near the intersection of 183rd Street and Pioneer Boulevard at around 10:00 a.m.

The law enforcement vehicle was reportedly responding to a call when it collided with another vehicle. The LASD got wedged between a power line and a building after the collision. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Three people sustained unspecified injuries, while the deputy was transported to a nearby hospital also with unspecified injuries.

No information was released regarding the identities of the people involved or if the victims were vehicle occupants or pedestrians.
