[08-09-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – Two Women Extricated From Wreckage and Injured After Vehicle Crashed Into Traffic Pole in Long Beach

Two women were extricated from wreckage after their car crashed into a traffic pole in Long Beach on Wednesday morning, August 9, 2023.

The Long Beach Police Department responded to the accident on East 2nd Street and Livingston Drive around 1:00 a.m.

What led to the crash is unknown, but an Acura sedan struck a traffic light pole. Due to the extent of damage to the car, two women were found conscious and breathing but unable to exit. Both of them were freed using the Jaws of Life.

It is unknown what condition the patients were in when they were transported to local trauma centers. The authorities did not disclose their identities.

There is no indication yet if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
