One person was struck by a car and killed after a pedestrian crash on the Pacific Coast Highway close to Solimar Beach, north of Ventura, on Wednesday morning, August 10, 2022.
The accident happened shortly after 9:20 a.m. along a roughly 6-mile coastal road known as the old PCH that runs between Faria Beach and Emma Wood State Beach.
The bystanders administered CPR.
According to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office personnel, at 9:40 a.m., the accident was listed as a fatality on the CHP.
As of late Wednesday afternoon, CHP personnel from the Ventura-area office, which is investigating the collision, could not be reached for comment.
