A man died after being struck by a pickup truck while crossing a roadway in San Jose on Sunday night, August 10, 2025.
According to the San Jose Police Department, the incident occurred around 10:13 p.m. in the area of South King Road and Aldrich Way.
Preliminary investigation found that the man was crossing outside of a pedestrian crosswalk when he was hit by a northbound 2022 white Chevy truck.
The pedestrian, whose identity has not yet been released, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the truckโs driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to have been factors in the collision. The incident remains under investigation.
