[08-11-2022] Fresno County, CA – One Person Killed, Another Injured After a Fatal Two-Vehicle Collision at Lane Avenue in Fresno

The sedan driver who died in a two-vehicle collision with a garbage truck in Fresno early Thursday morning was identified by authorities.

According to police, the garbage truck driver suffered only minor wounds, while the sedan driver, later identified as Jamal G., 39, passed away at the scene.

The collision happened at around 9:10 a.m. on Chesnut and Lane avenues.

According to authorities, the sedan was traveling quickly west on Lane Avenue when it collided with the truck, landing in the front yard of a house.

The collision happened around 9:10 a.m. on Chestnut and Lane Avenues.

Lane Avenue will be closed for a few hours while the investigation is going on.

According to the police, the victim’s name has not yet been made public.
