According to California Highway Patrol, a crash between a pickup and semi-truck killed at least one in Bakersfield Monday, August 15, 2022.
The crash occurred at about 7:20 a.m. at Buena Vista Road and Taft Highway intersection.
According to the CHP, the collision resulted in the damage and destruction of a power pole. The semi was obstructing traffic in the two middle lanes.
The extent of the injuries sustained and the number of affected people were not immediately made public.
The investigators are still trying to determine what caused the crash.
