FATAL TWO-VEHICLE CRASH STATISTICS

A car accident is the most common cause of personal injury in the United States. Every year, two million people are injured in car accidents. More than 200,000 of these people live in the state of California. Riverside County, with a population of over 2 million people, is one of California’s most congested and dangerous places to drive.

Riverside’s streets, including Jurupa Avenue, Wells Avenue, Pierce Street, and nearby roads like the 91, 215, and 60, saw 2,119 injuries and fatalities.

80% of these fatalities could have been avoided if the drivers had not been distracted by their cell phones or other distractions while driving.

Distracted driving, drunk driving, and fatigued driving all contribute to these collisions.

The driver who caused the accident owes money to the people listed above as a result of the accident. Both drivers may be at fault in a car accident. Even if this occurs, victims may still be able to sue the responsible party.
