[08-14-2022] Santa Barbara County, CA- 3 Injured after Two-Vehicle Head-On Crash on Via Real

According to authorities, a two-vehicle head-on collision on Via Real near Carpinteria sent one person to the hospital and injured two others on Sunday, August 14, 2022.

The accident happened just before 6:30 p.m. on Sunday near the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club.

One person was reportedly injured moderately and was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by AMR ambulance. The victim’s name and medical information were not available. Two other people were reportedly injured but not hospitalized.

Both vehicles sustained significant front-end damage.

After the crash, which was still under investigation, Via Real was temporarily shut down.
