[08-14-2023] 48-Year-Old Modesto Man Injured Following Two-Vehicle Collision Near ModestoA 48-year-old Modesto man was injured after a two-vehicle collision near Modesto on Monday afternoon, August 14, 2023.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer Tom O., the incident occurred on Highway 132 and McCracken Road that afternoon.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office first tried to pull over the suspect on the highway when he took off and sped through an intersection. On Highway 132, a Ford pickup traveling east collided with the stolen Toyota driving north on McCracken.

Officers from the CHP did not know why the deputy attempted to stop the Toyota, whether they knew the vehicle was stolen at the time, or even if they were actively pursuing the suspect.

The Ford driver sustained a laceration to his face and was transported to Memorial Medical Center, while the suspect, 41-year-old Raul S., was brought to Doctors Medical Center.
