A pregnant woman was hospitalized after a suspected DUI solo-vehicle crash in Yucca Valley, San Bernardino County on Tuesday afternoon, August 15, 2023.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred in the 6300 block of Richard Drive at around 12:15 p.m.
Authorities stated that officers responded to a house disturbance involving 24-year-old Savannah S., 28-year-old Salisa M., and other unidentified victims when they heard a car crash nearby. Officers reported discovering a pregnant passenger in the vehicle without a driver.
Officials said it appeared that the driver, a 31-year-old Yucca Valley resident Manuel T., fled the scene on foot. The driver was believed to be under the influence during the collision.
The pregnant woman was transported to High Desert Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries, and no information was released regarding the victim’s identity.
The incident remains under investigation.
