A driver was killed and another arrested after a crash in Yuba County early evening on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident at Quincy La Porte Road occurred at around 7 p.m.
The head-on collision was between a Dodge Ram driven by a 22-year-old DUI driver heading southbound and a Chevy Blazer driven by a 59-year-old man.
Under preliminary investigation, the identified 22-year-old Kalob R. showed signs and symptoms of drug use and impairment and was immediately arrested for DUI causing injury and gross vehicular manslaughter.
The condition of the 22-year-old driver was not stated after the incident, and authorities released no information regarding the 59-year-old’s identity.
