[08-17-2022] San Diego County, CA - 37-year-old Man Injured in a Motorcycle Accident in University HeightsA 37-year-old man riding a motorized scooter was injured after a motorcycle accident in University Heights Wednesday afternoon, August 17, 2022.

The accident happened around 4:55 p.m. westbound in the bicycle lane of the 1900 block of Madison Avenue.

The scooter rider, who sustained an open compound fracture of the wrist, was transported to the hospital after the collision with the truck’s right front quarter panel.

Meanwhile, the person involved was a 57-year-old man driving a Ram 350 truck traveling in the same direction.

According to San Diego Police Department Officer Robert H., the driver made a right turn into the west alley of the 4600 block of Florida Street directly into the path of the scooter.

The Ram 350’s driver was unharmed.

The collision is being looked into by the department’s Traffic Division.
