[08-19-2022] Fresno County, CA – Passenger Hurt Following a suspected DUI Crash in Central Fresno

The passenger of a suspected DUI driver was hurt following a collision involving two vehicles in central Fresno on Friday morning, August 19, 2022.

It happened shortly after 1 a.m. eastbound on Shields Avenue between First and Fresno streets.

According to the officers, the suspected DUI was arrested, and his passenger was taken to the hospital.

The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.

The roadway was closed for the investigation, and all eastbound traffic was detoured onto the frontage road.
