The individual, believed to be in his 40’s, was fatally struck by a big rig in Calwa, Fresno County, on Monday afternoon, August 21, 2023.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred on the sidewalk adjacent to Cedar Avenue, just south of Kaviland Avenue, at approximately 12:30 p.m.
The bicyclist came into contact with the trailer of a big rig heading south on Cedar.
Tragically, the bicyclist man lost his life at the scene, and his identity is currently unavailable.
The investigation is ongoing.
