Two people were injured after a two-vehicle collision involving a tractor and a sedan on Highway 1 near Santa Maria early Thursday morning, August 24, 2022.
The crash happened around 4:43 a.m., about 7 miles north of Black Road.
Local authorities took the two people in the sedan to Marian Regional Medical Center, one with minor injuries and the other with moderate ones.
The tractor driver wasn’t hurt.
At the time of the collision, the area was reportedly foggy.
Following several hours of cleanup, the southbound lanes of Highway 101 reopened around 8:50 in the morning, according to representatives of Caltrans District 5.
The CHP is looking into the collision’s cause.
