[08-25-2026] Riverside County, CA – One Killed in Head-On Crash Involving Big Rig Near Desert Center

One person was killed in a head-on collision involving a vehicle and a big rig near Desert Center in Riverside County on Tuesday afternoon, August 25, 2026.

According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the crash was reported just before 3:40 p.m. on State Route 177.

Authorities said one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person sustained minor injuries.

Officials did not immediately release the identities of those involved or additional information regarding the vehicles.

Authorities continue to investigate the fatal crash.
