Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics

Even though many drivers don’t know it, single-car accidents are some of the most dangerous in California.

People who are high on drugs or alcohol are the most dangerous drivers. They might even put other people’s lives in danger as well as their own.

Driving while drunk has the potential to hurt people’s lives very badly. Even though there are laws against it, the number of DUI accidents in the US is rising.

In 2017, there were about 1,120 DUI crashes in California. This made it the state with the second-highest number of drunk driving deaths, passing New York.

Many different things can cause one-car accidents. Run-off-the-road accidents are a common type of single-car accident that happens when the driver loses control while going too fast or making sharp turns on a wet, slick road.
