[08-28-2023] Jet Ski Crash Seriously Injured Female Passenger on San Diego BayA 29-year-old female passenger was seriously injured after a jet ski crash near National City on Monday evening, August 28, 2023.

The San Diego Harbor Police Department responded to the crash on San Diego Bay near the 24th Street Marine Terminal around 6:20 p.m.

The jet ski passenger suffered severe injuries when it collided with rocks close to the port terminal’s south end. Witnesses assisted the victim before paramedics arrived. She was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center for further treatment.

As described by the authorities, the woman’s condition is currently stable. Her identity was not disclosed. In addition, the watercraft’s driver, who was not named, was freed at the scene.

The cause of the crash, including whether alcohol or drugs were involved, was not stated.
