[08-29-2025] Sacramento County, CA – Bicyclist Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle on Calvine Rd. in Elk Grove

The Elk Grove Police Department reported that the accident occurred at around 2:33 a.m. on Calvine Road, between Bader Road and Bradshaw Road.

Authorities stated that a 39-year-old Sacramento man was sitting on his bicycle in the roadway when he was hit by a vehicle traveling east along Calvine Road. Responding officers arrived and confirmed that the bicyclist had died at the scene.

Police said the driver stopped following the collision, remained at the location, and cooperated with investigators. Officials also indicated that the driver showed no signs of impairment and that speed is not believed to have contributed to the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
