[08-31-2022] One Person Killed After an SUV Reversed into an Antelope ResidenceAccording to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, one person was killed after a car collided with a residence near Antelope on Wednesday morning, August 31, 2022.

Crews responded to reports of an accident around 9:45 a.m. near the intersection of Zachis Way and Hidden Meadow Way.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the victim died inside the house, and the driver was brought to a hospital with minor injuries.

According to the CHP, a white Expedition lost control while in reverse and collided with the residence. According to CHP, the damage to the front of the SUV might be from a previous accident.

CHP spokesperson Sgt. Jeff Carlisle said that several animals were also found inside the residence and were cared for by a neighbor.

The collision is under investigation.
