Multi-vehicle accidents often happen on highways. When automobile drivers are not paying attention to the road, they may not see that the traffic has stopped and may rear-end the vehicle in front of them, starting a chain reaction. In some cases,multi-vehicle accidents can be caused by one car making a sudden lane change and cutting off another vehicle. The car cut off may swerve into oncoming traffic or hit the guardrail. Multi-vehicle accidents can also occur when one car hydroplanes on a wet road and collides with another vehicle. Whatever the cause, multi-vehicle accidents often result in serious injuries and property damage.
