A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Chico on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

According to the Chico Police Department, the incident occurred at Esplanade and West Sacramento Avenue.

The 17-year-old pedestrian, a Chico High School student, was crossing a marked crosswalk when they were hit. The pedestrian sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital.
