According to the California Highway Patrol, two people were killed in a multi-vehicle collision on the southbound I-15 freeway in Victorville Monday, September 12, 2022.
The collision occurred at 4:56 a.m. between Bear Valley Road and Main Street.
All traffic lanes were blocked after the crash, which involved two tractor-trailer semis, a white van, and a work truck that was hard to tell what it was.
When firefighters arrived, they found two people dead, and a third was in critical condition.
They used tools to get the critically injured person out of the car, and a helicopter was sent to the scene.
The injured man was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital by helicopter from Big Bear on a Mercy Air helicopter.
The people involved families were there soon after the crash. The only person who got out of the truck alive could call their family and tell them about the impact.
The CHP said that the semi-truck and van drivers were not hurt.
The CHP station in Victorville is looking into what caused the crash.
