[09-12-2025] Los Angeles County, CA โ€“ Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Two Vehicles on Figueroa Street North of 81st Street

A man was killed after being struck by two vehicles, one of which fled the scene, on Figueroa Street north of 81st Street in South Los Angeles on Friday evening, September 12, 2025.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the pedestrian was walking outside of a marked crosswalk when he was first struck around 7:35 p.m. by a southbound silver Toyota Corolla.

The impact caused the pedestrian to become airborne and fall onto the roadway. While the Toyota driver stopped to render aid, a southbound blue vehicle struck the pedestrian and continued south without stopping.

Paramedics transported the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the crash to contact the LAPD South Traffic Division or Crime Stoppers.

Police continue to investigate the collision.
