[09-13-2026] Riverside County, CA – 73-Year-Old Man Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in Murrieta

A 73-year-old man, identified as Nabil A., died after being struck by a vehicle while jogging in Murrieta, Riverside County, on Sunday morning, September 13, 2026.

According to the Murrieta Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 7:00 a.m. near the intersection of Whitewood Road and Meadowlark Lane.

Police said a vehicle driven by a 52-year-old woman was traveling southbound on Whitewood Road when the pedestrian entered the roadway and was struck. Investigators said the man was believed to have been jogging at the time, and dense fog was present in the area.

Police reported that the driver attempted to swerve to avoid striking the pedestrian. Paramedics transported the victim to Inland Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts.

Police said neither alcohol nor drugs were believed to have contributed to the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
