[09-14-2022] Sacramento County, CA – One Person Severely Hurt After a Pedestrian Accident on Florin Road

The California Highway Patrol reported that one person was struck after a pedestrian accident on Florin Road on Wednesday morning, September 14, 2022.

The collision occurred around 6 a.m. on Orange Grove Avenue, north of Interstate 80.

According to the authorities, the pedestrian was struck by a Sacramento Regional Transit bus in North Highlands.

The pedestrian was seriously hurt and was taken to the hospital right away.

The California Highway Patrol withheld the identity of the suspect.

Authorities investigate whether speed, alcohol, drugs, or distracted driving contributed to the collision.

The deputies offered no additional details about the collision.
