According to the Kern County Coroner’s office, Vince Ortiz H., 62, of Bakersfield, was struck and killed by several passing vehicles in northwest Bakersfield on Friday night, September 16, 2022.
The fatal mishap happened around 11:30 p.m. on Olive Drive and Agoura Hills Way.
The unnamed pedestrian suffered severe injuries and passed away on the spot.
According to the police, the pedestrian was lying in the middle of the road when the oncoming traffic hit it. Why that person was on the road is a mystery.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office will reveal the victim’s identity later.
