[09-28-2023] Riverside County, CA – 77-Year-Old Died, Three Injured After DUI Big Rig Crash in Beaumont

A 77-year-old man died, and three were injured after a DUI truck collision in Beaumont on Thursday night, September 28, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the rear-end collision occurred on eastbound Interstate 10 at the Oak Valley Parkway offramp after 9:30 p.m.

It was reported that the 62-year-old truck driver, named Jimmy W., rear-ended three vehicles stopped at a red traffic light.

Officials transported four injured victims to a nearby hospital. One of them, identified as Harry M., died at Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley shortly after the crash.

The driver was withheld at Banning’s Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI.
