[10-01-2023] Pedestrian Woman Died Following Two-Vehicle Crash in OildaleA 30-year-old pedestrian woman died after being struck by two vehicles in Oildale, Kern County, on Sunday night, October 01, 2023.

According to California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at 9:29 p.m. in the area of Roberts Lane and MacArthur Drive.

Investigators found the woman was walking outside a crosswalk on Roberts Lane.  A Toyota was reported to be driving westbound in the number two lane, west of MacArthur Drive, and a BMW was tailing the vehicle.

The woman was struck when she stopped directly in front of the Toyota. She was thrown into the second lane and hit by the BMW shortly after.

The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers did not show any visible injuries.

The drivers of Toyota and BMW cooperated with authorities. Further details of the crash are unavailable at this time.
