[10-02-2023] Two Juveniles Drowned, Another Hospitalized After Home Daycare Incident in San JoseTwo juveniles drowned, and one was in critical condition after a home daycare pool incident in San Jose on Monday morning, October 02, 2023.

According to the authorities, the incident occurred around 9:05 a.m. at Happy Happy Daycare in the Almaden neighborhood on Fleetwood Drive in the 1000 block.

The pool accident left three minors in critical condition, and two were pronounced dead. It was later determined that the third victim’s condition wasn’t life-threatening.

Neither the state’s website nor reports showed a license had been issued to the daycare. The Santa Clara County District Attorney cooperated to determine if any crimes were committed and if anyone should be charged.

The facility didn’t release any statements on this matter as authorities continued their investigation.
